The city is almost uninhabitable during the summer. Going outside can feel like walking straight into a dragon's butthole after it shit out a herd of sheep that didn't agree with it.
That's why I sneak out as often as possible. Usually, it's a trip to my hometown in New Hampshire. It's great! Less sticky dragon fart . . . more ocean breeze. I fish, swim, drink beer under a tree. You know, typical NH stuff.
The only problem (besides the occasional horde of mosquitoes) is that it's way too easy to get distracted. Staying inside and working on a project is physically exerting, especially when the bay is boiling with hungry striped bass.
This year I forced myself to get some work done. And here it is! The new BTC!
54 DRAWING . . . 66 PAINTINGS . . . A SWBL REBOOT . . . AND THE BONUS MATERIAL (where I spill my guts about deadlines and hermit crabs.)
Don't worry, I still found time to get outside, catch some fish, drink some beers, and "sniff the flowers," as people love to recommend. And know what? They smelled waaaay better than the NYC Subway on a 90 degree day in July.

J.
